“Eco-tour 2018-2019” was held on 10th November, 2018 (Saturday) to improve Teens’ understanding, reduce stigmatization and misconception on mental illnesses, and enhance the social inclusion through interaction with person-in-recovery.

Participants worked together on a few things, like baking cookies with organic herb, and rubbing plants on cotton bags with materials from the courtyard.
One of major activities in the farm was guided organic farm tour. Led by person-in-recovery well trained as professional guides, the group toured at butterfly house, herbal garden, cactus garden. They also walked around Exhibition Gallery and Food Waste Composting Zone, to learn about the concept of organic farming and to compost from recycling kitchen waste. Teens teamed up with person-in-recovery, and walked around the farm to look for various types of insects and plants through treasure-hunt.
This activity not only allowed teens to have better understanding on mental illnesses and person-in-recovery, but also provided an opportunity for service users to enjoy the natural environment and participate in social activities, thereby built up self-confidence through interactive artwork and cooking.
