Finale

Brief information

After the fruitful two years in Health in Mind programme, it was time for HIM advocates move into a new page. On 6th July 2013, 127 graduate Teens gathered at the Rotunda, Exchange Square, Central to attend Finale of HIM Programme 2011-2013.

Dr Leung Pak-yin, Chief Executive of Hospital Authority and Mr. Ben Keswick, Managing Director of the Jardine Matheson Group and Chairman of MINDSET were the officiating guest in the ceremony, the representatives of Kwai Chung Hospital, Jardine Matheson Group, Education Bureau and other supporting organization were also invited. The organizer thanked the supports and efforts from all the participating schools, NGOs, workshop speakers and students in the past two years. Without their help, programme cannot run successfully to promote mental health and anti-stigmatization message in the community.

School representatives came on stage and shared their happy memories and things they have learnt through the programme in these two years. Students have changed attitude towards people suffering from mental illness, enhanced organization and planning, communications skills, as well as improved interpersonal skills, which was a valuable learning experience for them.

From the photos shared by students, we can see lots of happy faces with service users; definitely these two years’ experience gave them delightful memories in their secondary school life.

The prizes of Mental Health Comic Competition also presented at the ceremony, all winning and merit drawings were displayed.

After the ceremony, students can set down their duties in programme. However, we believe they will continue to promote mental health and anti-stigmatization message in their schools or in the community.
