Joint School Drama

Brief information

150 HIM Teens from 10 participating schools joined the Joint School Drama Show held on 10th May 2014, to perform drama promoting mental health and anti-stigmatization learned from the 2-year Health in Mind programme.

Dr T L Lo, Hospital Chief Executive of Kwai Chung Hospital, Dr Raymond Chan, Senior Clinical Psychologist of Kwai Chung Hospital and Mrs Nancy Chan, Group Human Resources General Manager of Jardine Matheson Group, are invited to be the judges and officiating guests.

Every participating school performed a 10-minute drama on stage, which aimed to promote mental health messages including students under pressures, self-image and eating disorder, support ex-mentally ill persons integrated into the community, positive psychology etc., to present what they have learned from this 2-year programme by drama. After several months of preparation, every participating school has performed the drama with very high standard.

When come to the end, all students were so excited, as it was the time to announce the results. This year, CCC Ming Yin College won the Best Script Award and Grand Award, while Chinese YMCA Secondary School and TWGHs Mrs Fung Wong Fung Ting College won the 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner of Best Performance Award respectively.

Through drama performance, HIM Teens promote mental health, and encourage everyone to establish an integrated society.
