Through games, video clips and group discussion, the Teens were taught symptoms of depression. Dr. So introduced several common “Mind Traps” – negative thinking patterns that may lead to depression loops, and the proactive & constructive ways that can help Teens to prevent depression, as well as the methods to help taking care of person with depression. As a demonstration, certain teens were selected to dance in front of the mass which explained the anxiety responses from body and mind. Through this experiential learning, Teens gained insights on how to cope with pressure in daily lives, as well as the skills in assisting others to overcome those stress step by step.
According to the post-workshop questionnaire, 98.6% of students agreed that the workshop could help them know more about depression and anxiety, and 85.3% of students were satisfied with the workshop.
