Emotion is inherent, everyone will have emotions: Enjoyment, Anger, Sadness and Fear. How to manage your emotions effectively, so that will not lose the balance and affect your daily life? To let students face and solve the emotion problem correctly, Health in Mind Programme organized an “Emotion Management” Workshop on 14th September, 2013 (Saturday) at Lions College. Organizer invited Ms Fefe Chan, Clinical Psychologist of Kwai Chung Hospital to be the speaker and shared the methods to manage emotions.
Speaker used some interacting methods, like experiment, test and case sharing to help students know more different emotion disorders. Documentary video and interview clips can let students have a full picture of different disorders and easier to understand patients behaviour and feeling.
Speakers also shared two common emotion disorders, Anxiety and Depression. By elaborating the cause, symptoms and solving method of these disorders, speaker reminded students have to solve their emotional problems in a right way. At the end of workshop, there was a Q&A competition to strengthen students’ interaction and consolidating their memories.
After the workshop, students could do the online test to test their workshop knowledge through e-learning platform. According to the questionnaire, more than 96% of students agreed the workshop content could help them to understand more emotional problems.
