The Orientation Camp of “Health in Mind 2012-2014” was held on 22^nd September 2012 at Chinese YMCA Wu Kwai Sha Youth Village. More than 140 Teens and 40 Jardine Ambassadors participated.

Organiser invited Dr T L LO, Hospital Chief Executive of Kwai Chung Hospital and Mrs Nancy CHAN, General Manger, Human Resources Service of Jardine Matheson Group, to be the officiating guests to kick off this year’s programme. They briefed the programme objectives and expectation on Teens, which let them have an understanding on their roles in promotion mental health message to their schoolmates, families and the community.

By different team building games, we aimed to enhance Teens’ communication and to build up team spirit. In the coming 2 years, Teens have to work together to organize volunteer services and in-school activities related to mental health promotion.

One of the games named “Flogger”, students need to across the “river” by using few stones. There was no best solution; students had to cooperate with teammates to complete the task. The objective of this game is to teach students about the importance of team work.

To strengthen Teens’ problem solving, cooperation skills and team spirit, we have achieved the main objectives of this activity.
