Eating disorders refers to impaired physical and mental health derived from unsound diets. Sufferers often get preoccupied by their body shape, weight or food intake, followed by morbid eating habits and emotional issues.
The symptoms of eating disorders are often just the tip of an iceberg. Sufferers are usually distressed by negative self-image, poor interpersonal relationships, or conflicts with family.
People with different age, ethnics, gender and background, may be susceptible to develop eating disorders. Women and girls from 15 to 25 years old are the most frequent sufferers of eating disorders.
